Now you can eat like a Pilgrim with your very own trencher. Trenchers are square wooden plates with an indented area for food and a smaller indent for salt. A humble but practical dish, trenchers were not as expensive as pewter dishes in the 17th century and that is still true today. Ours is hand-made of Duxbury pine here in Massachusetts.
