This delicious sea salt is made on Martha's Vineyard in small batches using a solar drying process. Open Atlantic Ocean water is filtered to remove sand, shells, and small sea creatures before being set out in large, covered ponds to dry. When the water has evaporated, the resulting sea salt is scooped and packaged.
Each set is packaged on an information card that provides descriptions of each blend and ideal food pairings, along with the story of how the two creators of MV Sea Salt came to work with the sun, sea and land to revive the Island tradition of farming salt.
